Born in 1969 at her mother's place, Jaunpur, Vidup was brought up in Manikpur, Uttar Pradesh. Later on, the family shifted to Allahabad where Vidup had his education at the Bethany Convent School, Boys High School, Government Intermediate College, CAV College and, finally his graduation from DAV College, Kanpur.
Vidup had a great passion for singing since his childhood, and while studying in Standard II at Bethany Convent School in Allahabad, he won the best singer prize. All along since then, music continued to be his first love, and as he grew he adored Lata Mangeshkar, Manna Day, Mohammad Rafi and Kishore Kumar as his role models. He would sing in friendly groups, winning accolades for his in-born singing talents. His first choice always fell on the songs which were rich in melody, rather than in boisterousness. His renderings of songs at the Club of which he was a member won for him sponatenous cheers and compliments. Slowly and steadily, all this only helped him acquire firmer roots in music. A great opening was, indeed, in store for him.
The heartening moment arrived when his voice won appreciation and approval of an upcoming music director in Mumbai, Vivek Prakash, and as the idea quickly took ground for producing a music album, a six-month exercise underway for vigorous practice sessions to facilitate the blossoming out of all that had remained so far dormant in him for music-lovers. Finally, arrived the music album, Kaisi Ye Deewangee , in 2004. As it is, the album has already taken a leap forward, what with a heart-warming reception it has received in the music market.
After “Kaisi Ye Deewaangee” Vidup did some playbacks in few films and again come up with new album “Jaane Kya Dekh Liya”. In this album lyrics are penned by the famous lyricist Mr. Faaiz Anwaar, who gave end number of hit songs to Hindi Film Industry including to “Tere Mast Mast Do nain” from the hit movie of Salman Khan, ”Dabangg”. All these songs are beautifully composed by the composer duo “Prakash-Ashish”. “Jaane Kya Dekh Liya” is released by venues taped and records Pvt. Ltd. And from the release itself it has started gaining popularity and entered in the list of chartbusters of Doordarshan’s program DD to 10 and in many digital web media.
